Bernie McLaughlin
- Pastor
Pastor Bernie McLaughlin has been in ministry since 1980. He and his wife, Nan, have been married for 43 years. They have three married children, and eight grandchildren.
In 1987 he founded Cornerstone Church (now The Bridge Church) in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, upon his return to Scotland from South Africa where he had already pioneered his first church, which is still flourishing today.
His vision is to reach out with a message of faith, hope and love to the people of Scotland and to establish a network of church branches worldwide.
In order to accomplish the vision, Pastor Bernie is committed to winning the lost, discipling believers, establishing churches in the Word of God, mentoring and equipping young ministers and leaders, promoting the Gospel through radio, television and publications, and reaching out to the local community and to the world with the love of God. God spoke to Pastor Bernie regarding the continent of Africa and as a result of that call he now ministers throughout the African nations regularly. Pastor Bernie shares a message rich in faith and is committed to raising up Christian men to take their place in their community and in the church. With this in mind he founded the “Repairers of the Breach” mens ministry. He has the heart of a father and desires to see all young men live with integrity and honour.
A successful businessman before he was in ministry, he has a passion to see people become financially independent and in a country where many are unemployed and rely on the government as their source, he shares a timely message. Known for his practical teaching and preaching and his love for God and people, he ministers with conviction and sincerity.
