The Bridge Monthly Message - June/July 2011 - A Voice To Your Generation

I believe that if you have a personal revelation of Christ as your Saviour, then you have a voice to your generation.

John 4:35, Jesus said, Do you not say, there are still four months, and then comes the harvest? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.

If you are waiting till you get out of debt, get your qualifications, or you ‘feel’ like it, you could be too late! There are people for your life and they need to hear your voice. Jesus told one man to let the dead bury the dead! There is a time to choose the calling of God over family pressure.

God showed us at the Bridge Church, that this is the year of connections. As ministers, we are always sharing the importance of personal evangelism. But we believe it is time for Christians to rise up and be doing all they know they should be doing.

It’s not rocket science. Only when we obey God and are more concerned with others, will we see lives changed and churches growing. I look forward to the day when we can’t get everyone into our building on a Sunday. We have to see this through the eyes of faith and start being part of the solution, instead of speaking about the problems and thinking you don’t have to play your part. No, God has given you a voice and the Gospel is an attractive sound! Jesus in you is an attraction, when you let Him shine through! The old Gospel song goes like this: 
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.

You have to let it shine. What are you allowing in your life. Don’t let shyness, apathy, disinterest, insecurity, or whatever else is stopping you, from sharing the good news with others. God loves you and He loves people. He loves it when you speak about Him unashamedly.  

Romans 1:16 Paul said, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.

Are you ready to win souls? 
Are you ready to be a good influence, instead of being influenced?
Are you ready to shine for Jesus? 

The Gospel is a supernatural message that brings supernatural results.

The Holy Spirit has anointed you for this time and there are people that only you can reach. When you start to share the Gospel, the power of God comes. Tell people that Jesus has set them free at the cross. Tell the sick that Jesus is the Healer. tell the poor that God is good and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Tell the depressed that God has a rich deposit of joy in store for them.

All they have to do is come to Jesus. Don’t complicate it and make it difficult for them. I’m a great believer in keeping things simple.

God bless you as you focus on souls and we pray for a rich harvest, by the grace of God. This month at the Bridge, we are hosting Pastor GF Watkins who is our Repairers of the Breach, men’s conference speaker on 24th & 25th June. We also have our third men’s commissioning service on Sunday 26th June 7pm.

Our Daughters of the King ladies meeting is on Monday 4th July and all women from every background are welcome.

We have a marriage weekend on the 15th to 17th July with guest speakers. This is open to all couples and we are trusting that marriages will be strengthened and restored through the principles taught.
