Dear Church Family,
This is just a short communication to let you know how we plan to go forward with church life in this season ahead. With the virus situation evolving rapidly both nationally and locally we have decided to postpone our Sunday worship services and midweek groups until further notice. This is effective as of now. It’s likely that other announced events may be cancelled too, but standby for follow up confirmation of those.
We have been working behind the scenes to enable us to move forward with alternative means of doing church and ministry together in all of its many facets, and along with John and the media team we are working hard behind the scenes to provide some exciting new prospects. One such development will be the launch of our new website which will be central and key to accessing and delivering all of our content, i.e. livestream messages, worship, kids content, events and notices, blogs and daily encouragements, an easy and user friendly online giving service, church information, and much more. The site will initially be clean and functional as we are driving it through for immediate use, but it will evolve quickly into an informative and vibrant site which we are sure will be such a blessing to all that log on.
The season ahead may seem ominous for many reasons. We encourage you all to join us and be all that we can be for one another, our neighbours, and for our community. This season, despite its challenges, will offer us many opportunities to be a great witness to a great many people, let’s embrace it in faith, and with hope and optimism, I believe we will emerge triumphant over this with many experiencing the love of Jesus and the church. Amen.
We’d also like to convey to you that we respect the personal positions you will all choose to take at this time, it is proper that we all do the right thing in a practical sense to protect and preserve those in our “world”, please keep responding to official healthcare information. We will endeavour to try and reach out to you all more frequently over the coming weeks, to be an encouragement and to serve as best we can in whatever capacity, and in due time we will begin to meet together again. Please make use of technology to remain in contact with your life groups and church friends, and be a blessing to each other.
If any of you are in a place where you may feel able to voluntarily serve others in a practical way, we may have some opportunities coming up (see this page), but we are working that out just now and will be in touch. We are interceding for you all, and we have been confessing Psalm 61 often, and we pray that you and your loved ones “will trust in the shelter of His wings” what a blessing to know that God is on your side, and that you are on His. Hallelujah.
With love and blessings,
P David & Linda
