Last month I posted my blog from Adelaide, Australia, where we were with our son Gary and his wife Sarah. We also ministered at our friends church there. Our time went in quickly and then we flew over to New Zealand where we were with our friends the Schlogls and their great church in Wellington.
This last week we have been with our lifelong friends pastor Tom and Barbara Inglis and have enjoyed time with them, their family and church.
For every sunrise there is a sunset and tomorrow we leave for home. One of my favourite places in Sydney is Circular Quay which is right there at the famous opera house and bridge. The photo on this blog was taken from the back of the ferry as we travelled back to Manley from Sydney. What a beautiful sunset and it reminds me that to everything there is an end. It may be the end of our trip but we have the photos and the beautiful memories which we can look back on any time.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
God knows the end from the beginning and we can rely on Him to steer us through to our desired destination. Every new sunrise brings a new and fresh day full of potential which is to be lived to the full. And every sunset brings us the opportunity to rest and sleep and replenish our energy and thank God that He has steered us through another day.
Life is so daily and we should enjoy it, sunrise and sunset.
