In my last blog I asked the question, What do you want to be remembered for?
I hope you have given the answer some thought and have an idea of what changes you may need to make towards that answer.
Here is another question that will help you with the same goal.
How would your life look to you so it could be absolutely perfect?
Mull that one over in your mind and begin to imagine what it would take for you to live out your dreams.
George Bernard Shaw described his taste of the true joy of life.
This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognised by yourself as a mighty one, being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I’ve got ahold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.
Jesus said, for us to find our life we first had to lose it.
There are some things that will douse the joy out of us if we allow it. My philosophy in life is, keep it simple. Don’t overcomplicate your life and don’t let others put their stress on you. Keep the fire burning brightly and refuse to be burdened and depressed. Stop complaining and start thanking.
Life is so daily but it’s not perfect. Perfection comes in the form of the simple fact that God loves us, is for us and is looking after us. So what would it take for you to live more contented and at peace and what would be your perfect life?
